i recently had a producer do this for one of my projects. "it's X in (location), kind of like Y" where Y was set in the location and X better captured the tone. i think it was effective for me. just found a similar post here -

I had a writing teacher (development vp type) who hated these kinds of descriptors. He would reject projects flat out if the pitch was "It's X but ..." or "It's X meets Y"
He always said if you can't sum up your script in 20 exciting words or less, it's not time to be pitching it.
