I think in a selling script it’s important to keep the flow moving. It could be compared to watching a kayaker on a river. In the 1933 script, the kayaker goes over several small water falls, after each drop you have to wait for him to prepare for the next drop; whereas with the use of secondary slugs it’s more like watching the kayaker shooting a series of rapids, moving rapidly from one level to the next. Much or exciting in the short term because you’re much less likely to loose interest in the progress.
