Well now I just want to know what psychedelic crayons are and where I can buy some.

I'm up for the challenge, but the sooner the better, since I'm already on holidays.

Count me in, Scott!

Also, Courtney, if you're checking the comments, Scott and I compiled a big PDF file based off of his and GITS readers' opinions on great scripts to read by genre. It's cleverly titled THE GITS SCRIPT LIST, and you can download that from the "Resources" links on the main page too. It's sorted by genre, and clicking on the name of any of the scripts will send you directly to a download page where you can save the PDF to your computer.

Most of them are not spec scripts, but I think that a lot of those scripts are some of the best learning tools around, regardless of whether or not the writer is tossing around CUT TO:'s and PUSH IN's. Like Scott said, there's no perfectly right way to write a script. Reading fantastically crafted screenplays is a really great way to improve your own eye and ear for writing, though, (even if the writer's using direction) and that list is probably the quickest way to get to some great ones.

Scriptshadow also tends to review a lot of spec scripts, so check out his blog (http://scriptshadow.blogspot.com) too.

I'm your huckleberry...

I may not get to read them all, but I will read as many as possible.

I have limited time so I am going to cheat and start now.

Count me in, too. Sounds like a great way to finish up the summer.

I'd tried reading and finished only 10 scripts - but discontinued it. Now its time I gotta start again. I am in tooo.
Anthony at 2010-07-11 02:07:57:
I haven't read nearly enough scripts - count me in.

I'm gonna try too; this will be a great motivator to read a bunch of good scripts.
