Anyone who's a fan of Harlan Ellison's work (and if you're not, what's wrong with you?) should check out the documentary "Dreams with Sharp Teeth". It's chock-full of hilarious, insightful interviews on everything from the writing process to politics.

As Ronald Moore said in the Ellison doc, "they should teach Harlan in schools."

If you sniff around Amazon, you'll find they just re-issued the bulk of his story collections for a pretty reasonable price. As JD indicated, Ellison is pretty much required reading.
