Sorry, but I just can't find obvious post-production scary.

As an artist (painter) I find orange and blue interesting. They are of course complimentary colors -- warm and cool. As a screenwriter, from a story point of view, one could see blue as death and orange as life; some might speculate blue and orange as symbolic and playing into the Hero's Journey and the many Savior Myths (death by crucifixion and rebirth by resurrection) constructed around death (cold, blue, winter) and renewal of life (warmth coming again as the winter solstice passes, as people look forward to spring and rebirth). Okay maybe that too deep an analysis, but it is fun to contemplate the psychology behind the use of those two colors.

That's interesting, I remember watching transformers 2 and the orange color just popped out, never knew this was the reason. It kind of reminds me of how they mix one record and put the same mix on 10 other albums.

That has been getting really annoying to me. The perfect example is the difference between Resident Evil II and III.

The only movie that "teal" thing worked on in my mind was The Matrix but only because it's an other-worldly story.

I actually like "pure colors." The situation makes the SCENE pop, the DIALOG makes the ACTOR stand out.

I'm actually watching Black Hawk Down and of course since the uniforms are green...Scenes though with no "grading" actually LOOK better. It's mainly scenes with no sunlight, but those are why I love movies. I'd rather see that.

They should be ashamed, Hollywood stylizing every new film to look the same. Where is the realism? How does this help the story? I'd prefer if they left the shots as they were without this commercial meaningless gloss on top of it... We don't all see the world this way. Now with the push of a button, idiots like this think they've made something cinematic!
