Annie Wilkes: [Right after smashing Paul's ankles with a sledgehammer] God I love you.

Mike, I'll give u both credit.
Mike at 2010-05-28 10:03:54:
Thanks, Scott, but I'm less interested in credit than in the remarkable fact that--out of the entire King catalog--we had the same thought at the same time.

Wild.

I wasn't sure if I should recommend this or not but, hey, why hold back... go right for the jugular... literally.

GAGE: No fair! No fair, no fair...

My son looks almost exactly like this little guy so this bit is especially terrifying for me.

This book (and film) are certainly far from King's best but I challenge anyone to come up with anything more horrifying that has emanated from his pen than the chest of dread and repugnance that is "Pet Sematary."

Just put Shawshank dialogue for every day Scott. I know you want to..... Hehe, just kidding.

Great one from "Stand By Me" on writing... and parents.

Gordie: Fuck writing, I don't want to be a writer. It's stupid. It's a stupid waste of time.
Chris: That's your dad talking.
Gordie: Bullshit.
Chris: Bull true.
Chris: I know how your dad feels about you. He doesn't give a shit about you. Denny was the one. He cared about and don't try to tell me different. You're just a kid, Gordie.
Gordie: Oh, gee! Thanks, Dad.
Chris: Wish the hell I was your dad. You wouldn't be goin' around talkin' about takin' these stupid shop courses if I was. It's like God gave you something, man, all those stories you can make up. And He said, "This is what we got for ya, kid. Try not to lose it." Kids lose everything unless there's someone there to look out for them. And if your parents are too fucked up to do it, then maybe I should.

"The only thing that matters is the ending."
"My ending...I want you fix it."

From "The Green Mile":

Paul Edgecomb: On the day of my judgment, when I stand before God, and He asks me why did I kill one of his true miracles, what am I gonna say? That it was my job? My job?
John Coffey: You tell God the Father it was a kindness you done. I know you hurtin' and worryin', I can feel it on you, but you oughta quit on it now. Because I want it over and done. I do. I'm tired, boss. Tired of bein' on the road, lonely as a sparrow in the rain. Tired of not ever having me a buddy to be with, or tell me where we's coming from or going to, or why. Mostly I'm tired of people being ugly to each other. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world everyday. There's too much of it. It's like pieces of glass in my head all the time. Can you understand?
Paul Edgecomb: Yes, John. I think I can.

From "The Stand":

Abigail Freemantle: This is God's will, given me as I wandered in my own wilderness. Draw close around me. You four men are to go west, to take no food or water, but to go this very day in the clothes you now wear. You are to go on foot. I'm in the way of knowing one will fall by the way, but I don't know which it will be. I'm in the way of knowing the others will be taken before this Flagg, who is not a man, but a creature from beyond the world. I don't know if you will defeat him. I only know God wants you to go, and with God's help you will stand and be true.
Frannie Goldsmith: [In tears]And what if we say no? [Stuart tries to hush her] What?
Abigail Freemantle: Your will is as free as that of Eve in the Garden, child. 'Go where ye list' has always been God's way. But this is what God wants of you. Be true. Stand.
[Abigail sighs deeply and dies]
Glen Bateman: It is finished. White magic; that's all that's left."

From "Firestarter":

Captain Hollister: [referring to Charlie] When we find out all we need to know from her...
John Rainbird: ...when you give her to me.
Captain Hollister: [after a pause] What are you going to do with her?
John Rainbird: John, the friendly orderly, will come in. He will greet her, talk to her, get her to smile... John, the friendly orderly, will make her happy because he's the only one who can. And when John feels she has reached the moment of her greatest happiness, he will strike her across the bridge of the nose, breaking it explosively and sending bone fragments into her brain. It'll be quick. And he'll be looking at her face at the time. He will *know* her power. And when he dies, which I hope is very soon, perhaps he can take that power with him... into the other world.
Captain Hollister: [finishes off his drink and heads for the door] You are crazy!
