I think one of the things that makes Pixar so successful is their ability to develop movies with so many good payoffs. Great payoffs are what make movies so satisfying. And in my opinion, that is completely driven by their development process where they meet regularly to bounce ideas off each other in a friendly, non-threatening environment.
