This ending is great. I've never thought about it before but his fight with the cross is quite symbolic.

Another interesting thing with all these non-dialog scenes are that they all end or include some dialog. There is no scene where the characters enter the scene and leave without saying a word.

But what kind of scene would that be? Could a scene like that really move the story forwards? We do use words to communicate.

A great scene, but I'm always struck by

a) religion shows up all of a sudden at the end.

b) the adults all act like grotesque cartoons, and

c) Ben suddenly becomes the action hero.

@ desiree: maybe a scene with a killer stalking two people who have to be quiet and can only communicate with head nods and hands.

or a scene with two military guys heading in for an assault on a sleeping bad guy.

but most of the time dialog is a nice ingredient to mix in to a scene.
