Agreed on all counts--certainly is grim out there right now, especially if you're looking at trying to find finance for a more expensive indie film through what used to be the normal channels (private equity, hedge funds--both of which have completely vanished). But like Scott mentions, there's definitely a movement brewing in independent film that's focusing on new distribution, new funding and more digital that's going to get bigger and bigger in the next couple of years.
